(Oct. 5, 2011) -- UTSA Family Weekend is Oct. 7-8. Spend time with students, meet faculty and staff, and connect with other Roadrunners and their families throughout the weekend. And, the Saturday, Oct. 8 game vs. South Alabama has a special game time of 4:30 p.m. Tailgating and special events will start outside the Alamodome at 11:30 a.m.
On Friday, Oct. 7, don't miss the Roadrunners on the River Walk event starting at 5:30 p.m. and culminating with a pep rally at the Grand Hyatt at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Oct. 8, outside the 'Dome there will be plenty of pre-game activities including a battle of the bands from noon to 4 p.m. at Roadrunner Station, festivities at Rowdy Town on the north plaza and the Spirit Walk at 1:30 p.m. Game time is 4:30 p.m.

UTSA Student Affairs Awards and Recognition Committee will be hosting a discussion panel that is geared towards undergraduate students interested in a career in Student Affairs. Facilitated by Dr. Gage E. Paine, Vice President of Student Affairs, students will have the opportunity to hear stories from UTSA’s Student Affairs Professionals as it relates to their personal journeys within the field. (Aug. 24, 2011)--UTSA offices and departments can have booths at Roadrunner Station before each home UTSA football game for as little as $100 for a covered booth.
By purchasing Roadrunner Station booth space, departments can provide games, activities and giveaways to Roadrunner fans.
Your department can participate to make the Game Day experience one that no one will want to miss.

Two departments recently hosted Listening Booths on the Main and Downtown campuses. Thank you to the staff who listened and students who allowed us to hear them.
The University Career Center interacted with 58 students near their center in the University Center and Student Conduct and Community Standards met 117 students in the Buena Vista Building of the Downtown campus. KUDOS!

Founded in 1969, it didn’t take long for UT-San Antonio to make waves in college athletics.
The reasons are pretty obvious.
As the only Division I school in the San Antonio area, UTSA has a stronghold on the seventh-largest city in the U.S. Combine that with being the only major football program in the second-biggest city in Texas and it’s clear to see why UT-San Antonio was chosen to move with UTA to the Western Athletic Conference in 2012.
Even though this is UTSA’s first year to play football, the city has come out in droves to watch the Roadrunners play. More than 121,000 fans came to UTSA’s first three games despite playing second-tier schools as a first-year independent.
“The turnout has been phenomenal,” UTSA head basketball coach Brooks Thompson said...
