Data Delivered Directly to Your Door (Computer)

Did you know there is a variety of institutional data available to you online through the Office of Institutional Research?

Fact Book

The Fact Book is published every fall and contains data from the previous five years. The Fact Book provides an overview of the most frequently required data regarding the university, such as overall student enrollment, degrees awarded, and faculty/staff information.

Common Data Set (CDS)

The Common Data Set provides a fairly comprehensive report of university information including academic degrees offered, admission rates, financial aid awarded, class size, and annual expenses, among other items. It represents a set of national standards used in institutional reporting and ranking.

Interactive Data Tool

The Interactive Data Tool is a great way to get quick answers to your data questions. For example, maybe you want to know how many males earned degrees in Spring 2010 through Spring 2013. I was able to answer this question by using a very simple query — here is the output:

IDT Table showing degrees awarded by gender

I hope you find these tools helpful, and anyone can access them. For additional information and questions, please visit the Office of Institutional Research.

See you next month!
