I first met Nathan this past July when the Admissions Office was in the process of relocating to the JPL building and swapping spaces with the Registrar’s Office. During the move, I would see him coming and going with power tools in hand (the drill and his iPhone), moving furniture, taking down and rebuilding cubicles, and all that other fun stuff that comes with a move. I witnessed firsthand how patient, easy-going, and calm he was through it all. This was an enormous task and he handled it extremely well. We appreciate his diligence in making the office move and transition run as smooth as possible for all of us.

In addition, I recently had an opportunity to work directly with Nathan on a project. The Admissions Communications area was working on a very large mailing with very limited staff, when Nathan found out, he immediately came to our aid. He coordinated a schedule with student workers from his area to assist with this extensive and time sensitive project. He kept constant communication with me until the project was successfully completed on time with his support and the student workers assistance. His willingness to help others exudes dedication and a teamwork attitude.

Having observed his work now, I can definitely say that one of the things I admire most about Nathan is no matter how busy he may be, he always takes time out of his schedule to offer assistance to ensure the job gets done. This type of “can-do” diligence in turn makes such a positive impact on our work environment, as well as the UTSA community as a whole.
